General provisions and formation of the contract<\/b> These General Terms and Conditions (the \"Terms\") govern the conditions under which the accommodation and services of the V\u00e1r-Liget Guesthouse, operated by the Service Provider, may be used. By submitting a booking, the Guest confirms that they have read these Terms and consider them binding upon themselves, and that they accept the House Rules of the property, set out in a separate document \u200b<\/b>.<\/p> 3. Booking process and booking channels<\/b><\/p> Ways to book:<\/b> The services of the guesthouse can be booked on the guesthouse's own website, by email, by telephone, and through third-party booking portals (primarily Booking.com and Szallas.hu).<\/p><\/li> Direct bookings (own website, email, telephone):<\/b><\/p> For booking requests submitted through our own online booking system or received by email, the Service Provider sends a written confirmation. The booking and the accommodation contract come into effect upon the Service Provider's written (email) confirmation.<\/p><\/li> Arrangements made by telephone are for information purposes only; written confirmation is required in every case in order to finalise a booking.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li> Bookings made through booking portals:<\/b><\/p> For bookings made through third-party partners (e.g. Booking.com, Szallas.hu), the terms and conditions, cancellation rules and payment rules of the portal in question also apply. On those platforms, the conditions stated there may override certain provisions of these Terms.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul> 4. Payment terms and prices<\/b><\/p> The accommodation rates shown on the website and in the booking confirmation do not include the tourist tax. The tourist tax is payable separately by guests aged 18 and over, and amounts to 300 HUF per person, per night \u200b<\/b>.<\/p><\/li> Methods of payment for direct bookings:<\/b><\/p> Bank transfer in advance:<\/b> To finalise a booking, 30% of the accommodation fee (or the full amount) must be transferred in advance to the bank account provided by the Service Provider, by the deadline stated in the confirmation.<\/p><\/li> Cash on arrival:<\/b> The remaining accommodation fee and the tourist tax are to be settled on arrival at the latest, when the keys are handed over, in Hungarian forint (HUF).<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li> If the Guest fails to pay the deposit by the stated deadline, the Service Provider is entitled to cancel the booking.<\/p><\/li><\/ul> 5. Cancellation and amendment (direct bookings)<\/b><\/p> Up to 5 days<\/b> before arrival, the booking may be cancelled free of charge and the deposit paid is refunded in full.<\/p><\/li> In the case of cancellation within 5 and 1 days<\/b> before arrival, 50% of the deposit paid is payable as a cancellation fee (the Service Provider retains this amount).<\/p><\/li> In the case of cancellation within 1 day<\/b> of arrival, or of a no-show, the full deposit is retained as a cancellation fee.<\/p><\/li> In the case of early departure, nights that were booked but not used are not refunded.<\/p><\/li> (Cancellation of bookings made through booking portals is governed by the conditions selected on the portal in question.)<\/i><\/p><\/li><\/ul> 6. Check-in and check-out<\/b><\/p> The guesthouse may be occupied from 2:00 PM<\/b> on the day of arrival.<\/p><\/li> On the day of departure, the accommodation must be vacated and the keys handed back to the Service Provider by 10:00 AM<\/b> .<\/p><\/li> Early check-in and late check-out are possible only by prior arrangement, subject to availability, and may be subject to a surcharge.<\/p><\/li><\/ul> 7. House Rules and liability for damage<\/b><\/p> The detailed rules for the use of the guesthouse are set out in the House Rules<\/b> , provided as a separate document, which is also displayed in a clearly visible place at the property.<\/p><\/li> The Guest is required to use the equipment and fittings of the guesthouse as intended. The Guest bears full financial liability for damage caused intentionally or through negligence, and for damage arising from a serious breach of the House Rules, and is required to compensate for such damage on site, or following a subsequent request from the Service Provider.<\/p><\/li><\/ul> 8. Data protection<\/b> The Service Provider processes the Guest's personal data in accordance with Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information and with the requirements of the GDPR. Force majeure<\/b> Causes and circumstances over which neither the Service Provider nor the Guest has control (force majeure) \u2014 for example war, fire, flood, extreme weather conditions or a power outage \u2014 release either party from performing their obligations under the contract for as long as such cause or circumstance persists.\n\nThis English text is a translation provided for information purposes.
