House Rules
Dear Guests! Welcome to Kisnána, to Vár-Liget Guesthouse! By booking your stay, every guest accepts these house rules. To ensure your stay is undisturbed (and that the house stays in one piece after you leave), please make sure to follow the points below in full.
1. Arrival and Departure
You may check in to the accommodation on the day of arrival from 2:00 PM . Please coordinate with us in advance (by phone or email) so we know when to expect you.
Please vacate the accommodation on the day of departure by 10:00 AM . A late check-out may be possible depending on availability, strictly by prior arrangement.
Important: Under current legislation, every guest (regardless of age — including children) is required to present a valid ID card or passport at check-in for document scanning. Without this, we are obliged to refuse check-in.
2. The Castle's Neighbourhood and Peace and Quiet
Our guesthouse is located right next to the historic Kisnána Castle, in a quiet, peaceful setting. The historic stone walls reflect sound extremely well, so out of respect for the village and our neighbours, strict quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM apply.
Loud parties, stag or hen parties, and music events that may disturb the neighbours are only allowed with the prior consent of the host .
We reserve the right to immediately remove guests from the guesthouse who are visibly intoxicated, behave in a scandalous manner, or grossly violate these house rules.
3. Parking and EV Charging
Parking is provided in our own enclosed car park with an electric gate. Please take great care of the gate remote — if it is lost or damaged, the cost of replacement will be charged to you.
If you arrive by electric car, you can start and use the EV charger in the car park through the Mobiliti app .
4. Comfort and Technology (Air Conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi)
Wi-Fi: The guesthouse has powerful, wall-to-wall internet (every room is fitted with its own Wi-Fi booster). The network name and password are posted in the house.
TV: Every room has a Smart TV with a Telekom TV subscription, so you won't miss a thing.
Air conditioning: All of our rooms are air-conditioned. Please use the air conditioning only with the doors and windows closed — let's not try to cool down the whole yard of Kisnána, that's what the Ice Age was for.
5. Use of the Guesthouse and Its Furnishings
Please use the furnishings as intended. Taking indoor furniture, towels, blankets and bed linen from the house or the terrace out into the yard is not allowed.
The furnishing of the house reflects our own taste, so please do not rearrange the rooms.
In the event of any damage, the cost will be charged to the guest.
If anything breaks, leaks, or stops working, please let us know right away using the contact details below, so we can fix the problem while you're still staying with us!
In the guesthouse's enclosed indoor spaces, smoking is strictly prohibited (including e-cigarettes and heated tobacco devices such as IQOS). Smoking is only allowed outdoors. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided, and never flick them into the yard or toward the castle moat.
6. Kitchen and Meals
The kitchen is fully equipped (gas stove, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, cookware). Meals are your own responsibility.
Please do not eat in bed in the bedrooms. For meals, please use the kitchen, the dining area, or the areas of the rooms designated for that purpose.
7. Cleaning and Rubbish
You will receive the guesthouse clean, and we kindly ask you to help keep it tidy as well. For bookings longer than 7 nights, we provide fresh bed linen and towels.
Please do not litter in the yard. Please collect household waste in the bin in the kitchen.
8. Heating and Fireplace
The house has central gas heating, which can be controlled via a central thermostat.
You will find a separate guide for using the fireplace on site. Only the firewood provided next to it may be used for heating. The guest is responsible for any damage resulting from improper use of the fireplace.
9. Open Fires and Cauldron Cooking
Fires may only be lit in the designated fire pit, strictly in accordance with fire safety rules.
We provide a cauldron, stand and firewood. Please always make sure the fire is properly extinguished afterwards, and don't leave any rubbish behind.
There is also a grill on the terrace; you will need to bring your own charcoal/briquettes and tools for this.
10. Security and Valuables
When leaving and at night, please lock the gate and the entrance doors. Before departure, please always turn off the taps, switch off the lights, and close the windows.
When departing, please hand over the keys by prior arrangement. Lost keys will result in the immediate replacement of the locks, the cost of which will be charged to the guest.
We cannot accept liability for personal belongings, valuables or vehicles left in the guesthouse or in the enclosed yard.
11. Visitors and Pets
Only registered guests may stay at the guesthouse. Receiving outside visitors or bringing pets (dogs, cats, etc.) is only permitted with the prior consent of the host .
12. Lost and Found
Items left behind are kept for 14 days. They can be returned by post, but the postage cost must be settled in advance.
13. First Aid and Force Majeure
A first aid kit is available at the guesthouse. In case of an accident, please call emergency services immediately (112), and then let us know as well.
We cannot accept liability, and are therefore unable to pay compensation, for any damage or inconvenience arising from events beyond our control (e.g. storm, hail, power or internet outage).
14. Use of the Wellness Terrace (Hot Tub and Sauna)
The private wellness terrace (hot tub and infrared sauna) is included with every booking, and may only be used by guests staying with us .
Please use the hot tub and sauna as intended and at your own responsibility. Children may only be on the terrace under adult supervision, and please do not bring glassware or other fragile items into the water.
After use, please carefully replace the hot tub cover, so the water stays clean and at the right temperature for next time.
The quiet hours (between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM) also apply to the wellness terrace — we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of the neighbours' peace during this time as well.
